The newsletter may come to you a little late because I was planning on writing it Saturday, but Bro. Johnny got stung by a bee and we nearly lost him.  He came so close to death.  Praise God  he is still here with us!  Please pray for him though—he still hasn't gotten his strength back.  But praise the Lord for allowing him to still be alive!

The day after Bro. Johnny got stung was Easter, and he was too weak to preach.  The family of Eric, our son-in-law, came to visit for the weekend.  All came except his oldest sister and  her son.  On the way back to North Carolina Sunday afternoon they received a phone call that Emily was at the hospital and that she was not expected to live.  She died in the night.  This is so hard for the family.  She was 24 years old and left a little son whose name is Anthony.  Please pray for the Gurley family as they go through this time of grief. 

Our Ladies’ Day was wonderful.  We had a full house and God so moved in our presence.  Mrs. Sharon

Garrett spoke on “The Trying of our Faith.”  It helped so many of the ladies who were there.  We are getting ready for next year already.  We are praying for God to direct and have His will as to how it should go.

This was the first year the home went to the A.C.E. convention.  It was a wonderful week and the kids did great!  God was so real that week.  The kids did better than they ever dreamed they could.  They gave God all the glory for how well they did.  We will have all year to prepare for next year.

On June 23rd we will be married 30 years.  It is amazing how fast time flies.  Life is a vapor.  We have been so blessed by our Saviour to have had these thirty years together, and then for the Lord to allow us to work here together these many years.  He is so good!

As far as the support is concerned, we have had some to cut back on our support because of loss of jobs, but God is continuing to be faithful.  If you
